Baker Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA)

Who can participate?

The Baker GSA is open to all students in grades 5–8.

What is GSA?

At our meetings, students learn about what it means to be part of the LGBTQ+ community and how to support others. Our GSA strives to:

  • Provide support
  • Build community
  • Take action

We bring together LGBTQ+ students and allies (students who support equal civil rights, gender equality, and LGBTQ+ communities) to support one another and organize around issues that impact our school and community.

Projects we’re proud of

  • Participating in the Brookline Schools Pride Walk
  • Developing a graphic novel book club
  • Painting the crosswalks outside the school in rainbow colors
  • Creating and selling Pride gear
  • Designing Pride posters for Baker
  • Establishing gender-neutral bathrooms
